What this site is

This website is an introduction service. We put you in touch with Gas Safe registered heating engineers who carry out work in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We do not carry out gas work, and we are not a party to any contract you make with an engineer.

Our role, stated plainly

We are paid by the engineers we introduce work to. This does not change the price you are quoted and it does not affect the advice an engineer gives you. You are free to use any other engineer, and you are under no obligation to accept a quote you receive.

Prices and quotes

Any figure shown on this site is indicative only. The price you pay is the price agreed between you and the engineer carrying out the work. Always confirm the price, including any call-out charge, before work begins.

Safety

Gas work in the UK may only be carried out by an engineer registered with Gas Safe. Always ask to see the engineer's ID card and verify the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before work starts.

Gas emergencies

If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately. Do not use this website, do not use a phone indoors, and do not operate electrical switches.

Accuracy

We try to keep the guidance on this site correct and current, particularly on landlord obligations. It is general information, not legal advice, and it does not replace the regulations themselves or advice from the Health and Safety Executive.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise we are not liable for the acts or omissions of engineers we introduce you to.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
